OpenAQ is excited to announce its new partnership with Love My Air. Based in Colorado, USA, this program by the Denver Public Health and Environment (DPHE) provides citywide real-time air quality monitoring. Love My Air aims to provide Denver’s diverse communities with visible, accessible, and actionable air quality information.

When Denver won the 2018 Bloomberg Mayors Challenge, DPHE and Denver Public Schools (DPS) developed the Love My Air program. The current sensor network has over 35 low-cost air sensors deployed across Denver. In addition to providing hyper-local real-time air quality data, the program also conducts community outreach, education, workshops and symposia to reach various community members in Denver.

Currently, Love My Air has 37 partners, including more than 30 schools in Denver. Starting in 2024, they also began working with healthcare centers across the Denver metropolitan area and placing AQSync monitors at three different healthcare centers.

“Partnering with OpenAQ is an exciting step forward for Denver’s Love My Air program. This collaboration enhances our ability to deliver air quality data to communities across Denver and beyond. Together, we’re making air quality information more accessible and actionable for everyone,” says Brendan Lawlor, Senior Air Quality Analyst at the Denver Department of Public Health and Environment.
