We’re Partnering with EDF and Development Seed on Low-Cost Sensing!

Back in December, we shared that we’re excited to be working on building a pilot low-cost sensing platform, aggregating and harmonizing low-cost sensing information, set to launch late this year. We have been seeking community interest for sharing data and feedback to shape the functionality of that pilot.

Through that process, we’re now excited to share that we will be collaborating with the Environmental Defense Fund and Development Seed to bring in large data sources and awesome functionality from EDF’s Air Quality Data Commons (AQDC) Platform.

The pilot OpenAQ low cost sensor platform is being designed through community input and in partnership with EDF and Development Seed. If you would like to get involved, please join us on OpenAQ’s Slack.

We’re incredibly excited about this opportunity and appreciate our partnerships with EDF and Development Seed, as well as core funding from ClimateWorks and Clean Air Fund to make this work possible.
